This week brought more great King Salmon fishing. Still seeing the big ones along with some Silver Salmon. I want to say thank you to Tim O. That was a great 4 days! I will see you next month for Silvers.

King fishing has been great to date. We have started to see the bigger fish moving in and will start some great fishing.

While working on the boat we did fine some time to catch these nice King salmon.

We lost our lower unit halfway into the week so we did not fish a lot of the week. We did start to see some of the larger fish starting to make their appearance. This is a good sign they are arriving.

King salmon fishing remains steady. Have reports that the large 30-40 lb Kings are 40 miles out. We are still fishing mainly on the inside islands.

Here is what a King salmon looks like! The spots on the tail and the black mouth is the dead give away. Some people have a hard time knowing what the Kings look like. I also heard there is a local charter boat shipper who couldn't tell the difference between a King and other types of salmon. So maybe he should take a look at this one.

King fishing has been steady over the last week. We have started to pick up Sockeye salmon and that should go on for most of this month. We are still waiting for the big Kings to start showing up.

The King fishing has been good over the last week. The little 1-3 pound silver salmon have started to show up but with the Kings running about 16-24 pounds we have been doing catch and release on those little silvers. It is always good to do catch and release on fish that small.

This week was family week. The fishing could not have been better for it. We caught these fish along with a lot more on the north end of the San Juan Islands. We should start to see some bigger fish moving into the waters in the next week or so.
